So if you get the points in all 4 group than you are eligible for a particular CLB? or it is based on individual band, say I get 8 in listening then its CLB-9, and 8 in reading so its CLB 10??

I THINK THE POINTS ARE AWARDED ACCORDING TO THE LOWEST IELTS SCORE (for instance if you have the lowest score in speaking then the speaking is the base according the witch points are awarded) !

My understanding is that each individual band corresponds to a CLB score and you should add up the CLB score for each band to arrive at your final score for language:

You can find the chart in this link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

e.g IELTS score / corresponding CLB score
Listening 7.00/ CLB: 7
Reading 7.00 /CLB: 9
Speaking 7.00 /CLB: 9
Writing 6.50 /CLB: 8

Equivalent EE score (if applying without a spouse):
Listening 7.00/ CLB: 7 : EE score: 16
Reading 7.00 /CLB: 9 : EE score: 29
Speaking 7.00 /CLB: 9 : EE score: 29
Writing 6.50 /CLB: 8 : EE score: 22

Total points : 96

Hope this clears the doubt..good luck

Points will be awarded to each module separately
If you have clb7 in listening
Clb8 in reading
Clb9 in writing
And clb10 in speaking

Then you should count points for each module separately

Hello,
I have a question:
My Ielts score does not reach CLB band 7 in few modules so do I need to reappear or the score is still 'ok'. the situation is I am eligible, but only language ability is the critical factor in my case.

Thanks,
Sandy

You should have CLB7 in all modules to be eligible.

Hi All,

I have few doubts about express entry rules. Firstly, why there are less points in case of "with spouse" part? Does it means, we need spouse assessment for getting point in "Points for Spouse of Common-Law Spouse's Qualification" section?

What is Transferability Factors? Can anybody explain this with an example?

Thanks in advance for your respone.

Yeah surely you should get ECA done for your Spouse, If you are claiming points for his/her qualification (its not mandatory, but if you will not do that, you will not be able to claim points for the spouse)

Skill Transferability Factor

For Education,
If you got CLB7 in three module and CLB9 in atleast 1 module
then you can claim points for that

Example#01,

You got in Listening-6, Reading-6, Writing-6 and Speaking-7
Since, band 7 of Speaking falls in CLB9 and others are CLB7
So you can claim points from the LEFT COLUMN according to your education.

Example#02,
You got in Listening-8, Reading-6.5, Writing-7, Reading-7
Since All of the modules are meeting the criteria of CLB-9
then you can claim points from the RIGHT COLUMN according to your education.

Do the Same for all the Factors.

Like, Foreign Work Experience.

Canadian Work Experience (If Applicable)

Thanks in advance for your respone.
