Express Entry in a nutshell

Hi,

I received Ontario NOI on 23th Feb and the application is submitted through Online. In the mean while, I have got direct ITA on 13th April which result in my EE profile is locked.

Today, I am asked to clarify some queries like intend to stay in Ontario for Ontario nomination application and they asked the reason about EE profile locked too.

I am not sure what needs to be done. Can you please suggest me that shall I proceed with ITA or ONIP nomination. which process is more quick to get a PR.

you submitted the application already ?? in that case its upto you - you can go ahead with OINP nomination since you already paid $1500 (which you will not get refund for) or go direct... it doesnt make any difference.

OINP will pretty much guarantee you ITA incase your application is cancelled (for some silly reason like PCC not in correct format, NOC incorrectly chosen, financial documents not good enough etc) if that happens you go back in the pool... with nomination you will get ITA in the next draw itself guaranteed which means you can reapply again, however if say your CRS is 420, you choose not to go with OINP, and god forbid your application is cancelled due to above reason, and current trending CRS score is around 450, then you will have to wait for a while for scores to go down before you get ITA

I have to warn you though PNP nominated PRs take around 20-30 days more on an average to come...

Either choice is fine - personally i would still take up OINP only coz i paid for it... no other reason.

I have created EE profile and I have score of 457.
Lived in canada for 5 years,
canadian experience - 2+ years between 2013-2015 - NOC 6311
Came back to India - 1+ years experience between 2016-2017 - NOC 2175

My question is Do i need to show any connection between my jobs if I get invited under CEC for NOC 6311,?? because now I am working in different profession.??

no. as long as CEC experience falls within threshold of CEC requirement, you should be fine. (Threshold means all 2+ years experience has to be full time within x number of years... where x being CEC threshold for counting canadian experience... it could be 5 years, but i dont know TBH)

I Completed my B.Tech ( Computer Science) in 2012. Immediately after that I opened my Computer hardware store in which i act like supervisor/manager also i am owner(proprietor) .I handle a team of 5 employees and we collectively provide service solution to small offices and homes in city. BE it networking , printers , sale of new laptops and computers.
my ilets overall band is 8 and already got WES certificate.5 years of self work experience.
I am having trouble with NOC6221(computer equipment sales specialist) or 6211(sales supervisor).

skilled worker program will work for me ?

Can someone who is currently unemployed but has 3yrs working experience in the past 10yrs, apply for express entry?

Also, if someone his currently unemployed would that affect his chances of getting permanent residency?

I have a question about the ECA assessment for a friend who has a Masters from the US and the Bachelor's from India. Now for express entry do you think he needs ECA for both? Will this give him additional points? Please advise.

1st step is to get all the required documents and submit the application.

I'd like to know, if we receive any communication or any kind of update on our application status before we receive the final PR approval email.

The one's who have already completed this process, could you please provide some insight. Thanks!

I have received ITA and filling it out now

1. Regarding proof of funds - can i get gift deed from two different people ?

2. I am a student in canada already do i still need to show 12000 dollars ?

3. I will be getting married in oct and i want to add my spouse too but i believe that would be too late as by that time i will get my PR so what would be the best time to go back to INDIA and do legal mariage so as to add her.

My assumption -
1. I travelled in 2013, and got new passport in 2016. Does it mean I need to submit copies of both passports ?
2. I am currently living in Delhi, India from past 6.5 years and before that I have lived in my home city throughout. Does this mean I need to provide PCC from both cities ?

Can someone please guide. I would really appreciate your valuable inputs. Thanks!

Hi,

Pl explain the process for Digital Photograph. An extract from the CIC website mentions the specs of the photograph but also mentions that one of the photographs must bear the name, date of birth of the applicant and address of the studio. So are we supposed to get the photographs printed and mention these details and then scan and upload?

Please guide.

yes, there are specific threads for each month on this forum... like January 2017 AOR connect here, February 2017 AOR connect here... you would probably land up in May or June threads... you can connect with other people with similar AOR to share timelines and experiences and stuff

theoretically yes, as long as they are related to you (not from strangers that is)

yes. unless you are working full time (and i think its 13 not 12)

well apply for PR, then add her to the application at a later stage
