Hello All ,

Thankyou for the all support. I was called for Passport sumission last week for express entry and I have COPR with me now. The visa says I can land there by April 2017.

i had a few queries . Please let me know if you can answer the same -

1. The COPR document says destination city as Vancouver . Do I specifically need to land to Vancouver to complete the PR process? I am looking for a job , what if it is in Toronto? Can anyone confirm?

2. Also Can I Work in Montreal with the same? As in I am outside Canada as of today. If I get the job in MOntreal..Can I travel to directly to MOntreal to complete the process or do I need to land somewhere else?

Any other email id other than noc@workingincanada.gc.ca to inquire about NOC?

1) Did you apply with a BCPNP? If not then you're free to land anywhere with the exception of Quebec...

2) No, Quebec (province where Montreal is located) does not use Express Entry so you should not land in Montreal. If you got a job in Montreal then my suggestion is land in Toronto and travel to Montreal by train or bus if you must... But the ideal thing for you is to get a job anywhere but quebec until you have your PR card. After that you're free to work wherever you like (Quebec included).

Thanks a lot for your answer.

1. No I did not come via BCPNP or any PNP, it was CEC. So I can land anywhere and complete my process. Correct? Can you share any CIC link which says the same.

2 .I think I may get a job in Quebec, Is it possible that I land in Toronto(for example) or any city, complete the process. Give my friend's address who lives in Toront to get my PR card delivered and travel to Montreal via bus etc with COPR approved document ( which acts as a PR card). Once the PR card gets to my delivered within weeks, I travel to collect my card and finally done.

Do you think that works?

Yes that will work! Good luck!

thanks a lot bro! Is there a CIC link which you can share relating to the above. You Rock!

Thanks dude! Well all over the IRCC website relating to Express Entry you can see:

Note: Quebec does not use Express Entry. They select their own skilled workers. See Quebec-selected skilled workers to find out more.

Like here for example - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2014-12-01.asp

So from that it's logical to conclude (I think) that if I used Express Entry to get my COPR + Visa best not to land in Quebec ;)

Landing in Toronto and giving you friend's address is exactly what I would do if I were in your shoes.

I think once you have your CoPR stamped you're considered to be a PR, so you can wait 2 weeks and change the delivery address to you're address in Montreal if you end up there. Or just get you friend to send it over once it arrives... Either way it's fine I think!

Good luck!

I am not getting my 30 points for the bachelors degree that I did here in Canada. I am currently at 399 and should be at 429 with the 30 points.

I withdrew my profile and submitted it again but still same result.

please see if I answered the 3 questions correctly.

Was this degree, diploma or certificate:
from a public post-secondary school, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec)
from a private post-secondary school that operates under the same rules as public schools
a diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) earned through a qualifying study program of at least 900 hours from a private school in Quebec, or
a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from a Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law. (The student must have been enrolled in a study program that led to a degree as set out by the province.)

I PUT NO

Was more than half the study program English or French as a second language courses?

I PUT NO

Did SAURINE KUMAR KIRITKUMAR PATEL study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada. Help

I PUT NO

Your help in this matter will help because in March I will have 2 years of work experience which will put me at 454 with the 30 points.

I looked at other threads and followed instructions, but nothing seems to work.

First answer is incorrect - select "Yes" and you'll get your points within 24 hours.

I will try that again because I already gave that a shot and it did not work out. I waited for over 1 week.

Do you think there could be other errors while entering information in the study section? Because all other sections seem to be done correctly.

Other than those 3 questions make sure you've entered the correct DLI number.

thanks for the help.

I went ahead and updated the information with the correct code.

I hope i get the 30 points soon.

Hi,

I got WES credentials assessed as 'having two or more degrees' for my ACCA and B.Sc (Hons) from Oxford Brookes. I got my ITA yesterday and wanted to check two things here:

-Since my education was done back home but awarding instiution is based in UK, I wrote UK in my education. Now I realize while completing the personal profile that this will show as UK and I can't be based in two different countries at the same time. What do I do and how should I rectify this? Any changes to this will impact my ITA?

- My WES report shows UK as country of education since both ACCA and Oxford Brookes are based there and sent the transcripts directly. Do I then write country as Pakistan or UK for my education? Also do I then write an LOE explaining that this was a distance program?

I want to present all the info in a transparent way so that when my e-APR is reviewed, it doesn't get rejected. Please advise. Thanks!!

Hey Everyone,

I am going to create my Express Entry profile now.
I have my required documents.

But I have one doubt.
I have a Bachelor's Degree of 4 years which has been evaluated by WES.
I have certificate programmes from two Universities as well which doesn't seem to be evaluated by WES.
What should I mention? - Two or more degrees or certificates or Only one Degree which is evaluated by WES.

An early reply would be appreciated.

Regards,
