Express Entry in a nutshell

Hi Guys,

I am making my brothers express entry profile. He is married and have a son is it necessary to add his family(wife and son) into the profile. I mean i can show them he has dependents. Thing is once i say yes to that option of spouse coming along his score go down 15 points.

Just need your suggestions.

Not necessary. He can apply as a single unaccompanied applicant, but has to mention his complete family later on once he gets ITA.

does any one knows how to process follows for one that has not paid his Right For Permanent Residency Fees at the time of AOR, and get a request to make such payment?

I guess once you are eligible for PPR, the IRCC should contact you asking for rprf fee.

Very informative post.
I've one query. Can I show blood relationship of my wife with her Mami (Aunt) or Mami's daughter (resident of Canada) to add 5 points to min required points 67/100.

Check the cic website regarding this information. They have given a list of relatives that can be mentioned to claim extra 5 points.

Declined 4 for the below reason


1. I have waited till May 10, 2019, to gain 3 years of experience (more points) in the last 10 years and created a profile on May 10.
2. after receiving the ITA and while filling the PR application, I found the mistake I made while creating the profile in May 2019.

3. Instead of selecting May 2016 through May 2019, I have selected May 2015 through May 2019 for my work experience.

4. I declined ITA because of this reason. Corrected my profile to May 2016- through May 2019.

5. I think I am okay since the number of years of experience still crossed 3 years on the day, I created my profile (It was exactly 3 years 8 days). But I am worried that CIC may not understand this as a mistake but as a misrepresentation. I am feeling terrible for this simple mistake. Appears like many years of hard work going waste.

QUESTION: Can I still use my PNP nomination and accept the next ITA. The scores did not change when I made the changes.

Guys, please help me with your thoughts and wisdom

Well, in your case there were 2 ways out..
1. You could have accepted the ITA and mentioned the unintentional error in LOE that you wrongly chose the year (2015 instead of 2016). Since the maximum score that can be obtained for work experience is by providing proof of 3 years or more...

2. Since you declined your ita, and edited your forms, its totally acceptable. Nothing is finalised until post ITA. Your updated forms for ee profile pre ITA will be updated and you will be given a new score according to your profile (which shouldn't change apparently).

If you commit an error in your ee profile pre ita but that error doesn't have an impact on ypur crs score, you can explain that mistake in a LOE post ITA.

My husband and I got married abroad in august and came back to our home country but I still live in my hometown for the moment, while he lives in his. Will CIC question the fact that our address history is not common after the wedding ceremony date? If so, should we write an LoE explaining the reason why we dont live together? Please help, I am worried to mess things up due to such small details.

Should I provide some proof to show my intention to live in a province other than a QC?

You should have a marriage certificate with you, if you have it, you can share different addresses. As far as, you can prove why you are living at different addresses, nobody will question

Hi Guys, I have a question on my education update for express entry profile. I am on a work permit for the past 3 years, however; when I applied first time for a work permit I added only a Bachelor degree which was continued for my work permit renewal. I have Post Graduate diploma in distance education and got certificates the same year which I applied for a work permit. Here my question is whether I can add my PG for express entry profile or not. If I don't add my score is not up to the mark. Please advice me friends, much appreciated for your help.
