Hello All,

I have a few questions regarding my application. Here are the dates that I was able to track:

ITA : Oct 20th 2016
AOR: Nov 17th 2016

Last Checked Today:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Review in Progress
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

I'm surprised that I still haven't passed my Meds. Its been over 2 months.

I'm an Indian National living in the United States for over 7 years now. I wonder if its common for an applicant like me to have a delay in their Meds being passed.

Has anyone else seen something similar? Any advice/suggestions are very welcome.

Thank you.

Hi Frolic999,

I am also in same situation , i submitted my PR application on 30th Nov and got the e-APR on same day ,
no update since then

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Review in Progress
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not needed at this time

Hey guys - love the momentum in this group! Things seem to be moving nicely.

I am from the Jan group. I recently received a request for the following:

1) IMM5662E - Travel history. I did provide this in my application. Any reason why they would request this again?
2) LOE detailing what I did for one specific year. This year was included in my personal history entries and I was working and going to University. And also got married. Any reason why they would request this?

Also,
3) After receiving COPR how long does one have to land?

Hello Raj,
If you remember, my aor was 10 Jan 2017.
25 Jan: meds passed; no additional doc req
26 Jan: bg check not started.
30 Jan (probably as i skipped checking my account on weekend): back ground check again changed to not needed.

One thing i missed to tell you was that my first baby was born on jan 19th. I raised a CSE on jan 22.
My question is:
1 Do you think my background check again went to ‘not needed’ as cic wants (and yesterday they did contact me which I will discuss later) my newborns details before it will move ahead with the processing of my file?
In other words, do you see any correlation of my status changes with the birth of my child.
Will the birth of my baby will somehow influence the progress (or lack of it) of processing of my file. Will cic hold my file until i upload his birth certificate and passport (which will take a month) or will process it at its normal pace.
Please note that i had chosen my settlement funds keeping in view the increase in family members (although we were two at that point, me and my wife chose funds required for three family members).
shaheerjaved said:
DO you think they have asked to re-submit the whole application AGAIN. This email was sent to my gmail account and not in my cic pr app messages twice by cic agents as i had submitted two queries(same query copypasted and sent vie web form which i presume is cse and one through my cic account by logging a technical query).

Why are they requiring me to submit "A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) with supporting documents" and why are they using If applicable against the rest of the docs?

I think they have wrongly presumed that i an the principal applicant and i had ommitted my wife and child from the app at the time of submission and have now returned back to them to request cic to add my wife and son as accompanying partner anddependent, respectively. Whereas my wife is the secondary applicant and we have claimed her edu and ielts points.

"If you are the principal applicant of a permanent residence application already in process, you could add your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children to your application, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependant in the initial application.

To do so, we invite you to complete the following forms and mail them to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

If the newly created family member is a child born in Canada, only the add-on request is required (mine was born outside and in this case these requirememts ought to apply http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t472234.0.html;msg5743458#msg5743458)

A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) with supporting documents,
(If applicable) A Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form,
(If applicable) An Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form,
(If applicable) A signed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form,
A copy of the family member’s valid passport,
Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived

I'm sorry but I would kindly request you to post these messages in the relevant threads. Lately, a lot of people have been posting general questions in the November month wise thread. Kindly don't do that because amongst all the other posts, it is hard to find the information on November applicants. Kindly delete these posts. Post them in the relevant threads.

Please post it in the below thread -->

any idea which stage i am in right now?

I noticed the last two notes are from CPC ottawa
but a lot of them are from CIO
does this mean my VO is CPC ottawa?
What are the contents of the last 2 pages? The notes of the Support Agent,Program Assistant and Case Analyst? Your A11.2 should have passed; which is a good thing.

I am still trying to figure a way to copy and paste the content from the PDF
The last page from Case Analyst says Recommend pass A11.2, and mentioned "Ready to Finalize";

i completely agree. When I came to Canada two years ago, I came with my wife and kid. Of course, it is difficult and challenging but very comforting at the same time. I would never have left my wife and son back in India even though we live in a joint family.
rd160309 , thanks for agreeing on this part.
Again my personal opinion here: I find the argument really weird that you should leave the family behind to succeed in a new country. Life is hard anywhere you go. In your home country, just think, if you do not have a good job/salary/security/home/car, will you be still doing that? No, you will not. Please don't feel offended, I just wanted to share my opinion. I truly believe that a family that stays together, lives together, will only be able to enjoy their life together.

Well, usually, IRCC doesn't call employers unless they have something to suspect but yes, there is a possibility that they might call your employer. In your case, I suppose you can send a CSE and mention that you have resigned your position in the current company. You do not have to mention anything about the new company that you are joining.

Adding to your comment - No one is leaving anything behind. Its just that some people choose to land in Canada, look for a job and then bring in their families which is perfectly fine because having the entire family in Canada without a job might burn a hole in the pocket. Some might choose to bring their family after at least finding suitable accommodation and finding a temporary job (in the course of applying for a "real" job), which would make it easier for both the PA and the dependents. Whatever works, buddy!
