i Don't know when it was transferred to POS. When i wrote CIC in early December, they wrote me back in January and told me my file was in POS. I have heard in some forum when your status changes to we do not need any additional documents, then it means that it was transferred to your local office. For me this happened in mid october.

Guys i for ppr on jan 2 and was subsequently ask to submit a schedule a form.

My background status never changed from N/A however today i signed in and it say background check in progress, is this normal?

My passports are with them

Yes this is very normal. My BGC never changed until after they received my passport from NA to In progress.

It will return to NA and then say completed when your visa is placed in your passport.

When you got the ITA, did they also send something asking for the medical? I’m trying to find out some information on an upfront medical since I have a score of 471 so I know I’m in a good position to receive an ITA. I recently entered the pool. Wish I found this forum before I would have applied for EE since January 2017 when I started researching how to move to Canada.

They didn't send anything. the medical is one of the requirements created when I accepted the ITA and started the application. The medical is with the approved panel doctors. As far as I understand, you only need to make an appointment with one of the approved doctors and proceed to do the medical. I'm told it includes physical assessment, medical history, HIV and syphilis screens. I hope this helps. There is a thread about medicals too.

It happens after you get your ITA.
The doctor's office in Trinidad and tobago, Dr Millar will also ask for a copy of your ITA.
