Experience with US federal tax refund delays

2020 electronically filed on Feb 21st 2021. Finally the refund got approved as of today. 16th they would deposit refund.
Its not about waiting period for refund as its mainly about impact on taxable income i reported at Canadian side. If IRS doesnt recognize certain exemptions then it will make me refile Canadian side with more taxes.
My friend submitted in Feb 1st week and he got his refund in 3 weeks but seems later IRS started delaying.

Hello, I filed 3rd week of march but until now its still in process...does it means its accepted and just waiting for the funds to be deposit?

Acceptance is different than whatever exemptions are being accepted. Acceptance is just confirmation that we have filed and they received the tax return.
So till we receive the same refund, we wont know if all exemptions will be accepted.

Same here/ Refund processed and to be auto deposited on 16th. Looks like pretty much all are on same boat
