Hello everyone,
Here is my situation. I have applied for my P.R under express entry. Inland FSW2
AOR was 28th July 2016.
My status as a worker in Canada expired 30th Nov 2016. I received a letter from CIC that you have to apply for restoration of status within 90days and if you not wish to do that must leave Canada on or before 28th Feb.

I want to know whether I can apply for the visitor visa from within Canada even my valid work permit has expired and I am on restoration period or shall I do something else to stay in Canada legally until the decision has been made on my file.

Time since AOR- 186 Days

Please help so that I can take the appropriate step as soon as possible. Thanks

in my opinion you should have applied for BOWP before the expiration date of your WP .

You can restore your status by applying BOWP with AOR and a letter of explanation stating that why you have stayed beyond your expiry or Visitor Visa before Feb 28th.

Thank u OMG and Pranay for replying to my query. My BOWP has been refused and the reason was LMIA was expired. I called the cic today and they said your final decision is pending and the officer need some mor time to review your file.
My 90 days for restoration expires 28th Feb 2017.
Agent also said next time you call is if your decision is not made until June 28 2017.

This is crazy 1 year for express entry.
