Employer Reference letters

Should the employer reference letters sent along with the application form be in ORIGINAL or copies would suffice ? Checklist says copies, but I have seen some posts suggesting to send "original employer reference letters" along with the application letter.

personally, I would follow CIC instructions, not a forum post that may be quite out of date. (We used to have to send the originals, now just a copy) - CIC can request the original later, tho, so keep the original safe.

copies suffice. If you have multiple then send original.
