Employer portal enrollment for ICT

Hi, can you please tell me if my employer has to post the offer on employer portal and give any 7 digit code to file in WP application? I read somewhere that it is required and I am not sure whether it's mandatory or not. I am applying for ICT under specialised knowledge. I have offer letter from my employer. Can I just go ahead and apply for work permit (LMIA) exempted under ICT?
Will really appreciate your help.

Yes, your employer has to do those things and you have to put that number on your application.

Can you please let me know what all my employer needs to do as I will have to explain them and then they will do it. Thanks for the help
