Hi, I am currently receiving my Employment Insurance. My latest claim is for the period of April 26, 2020 to May 9, 2020. My next schedule of reporting is tomorrow, May 23 covering the period of May 10, 2020 to May 23, 2020. Today, May 22, 2020, I received my Certificate of Completion through email, and my student permit expires on July 31, 2020.

Considering the abovementioned situation, can I still claim for the EI benefit if I plan to do my PGWP application on the second week of June 2020?

You are no longer allowed to legally work, so no, you don't qualify for EI.

Also, if I choose to defer my PGWP application around 2nd week of June, can I still claim my EI for the month of June onwards?

I understand. Should I still continue my reporting online, considering that I still have a legal status to work on the period of May 10 - 21?
I've never claimed EI, so I don't know how the reporting system works. You need to ensure that you don't receive funds you aren't entitled to.

You have to stop your current claim. As far as I know, that means you need another 600 hours to qualify again. Call Service Canada to ask.
