only one as shared in above screenshot. does this tell anything about comprehensive SS or Regular SS?
No I don't think it mentions which type of security check is performed. I think you need to wait if it is taking over 2 months then most likely it is Comprehensive.

Can they do comprehensive screening at their will without any indicators in profile? Isn't that a discrimination?

Unfortunately, there are incidents where applicants from specific countries go through longer processing times. Based on immitraker, applicants from some ME countries most of the time go through extremely longer processing times. Whereas, applicants from EU countries on average go through processing much faster.

They send almost every applicant from China with a STEM background to SS. That really sucks.
I'm not even in those list either so it really feels like discrimination just because I went to Local MP when file assigned to Inactive Officer citing CBSA notes and Media reports showing same ID Inactive keeping applicants in limbo.

neither ME nor EU but belong to where majority folks migrate from.
It really boils down when there was no such screening done on previous ICT WP (GSS) and WP Ext applications and nothing changed since then

I am curious if those who requested cbsa notes got their applications delayed than those who didn’t too? I am not sure it affected my application delay

It also depends on your visa processing office, too. Historically Etobicoke and Sydney were the worst. In your case you only had 5 months passed. You are on the final stage already, so hopefully, you should hear back soon.
