Quick question, my wife's English is not perfect. Am I allowed to edit the grammar of her forms for her? Do I need to specify to cic that I've edited what she's written?

Thanks.

Depends, has she sent you filled out, signed forms? If so then I would not edit them after the fact. If you haven't printed them yet then you could edit them before she prints and signs them.

No she hasn't signed them yet. She filled them out and emailed them to me to edit them. She wrote it herself but do I count as an interpreter if I edit them? And when we show records of our messaging and there is clearly grammar errors in her messages does that look bad that her forms are grammatically correct?

Well did she handwrite them or type them? It's fine to edit the typed forms (though some are "locked" and you'd have to redo the entire form). If she did handwrite them I'd consider redoing them in typing anyways. Just send in the "use of representative" IMM 5476 form then there is no problem with you handling her forms for her.

Yes they are all typed and a few of them have extra pages which are word documents. So I can go ahead and edit the grammar and email them back for her to print and sign and that is okay? And just to be safe send the use of representative?

That's okay. I did most of the forms for my spouse and had him just look them over and sign them, to be honest.

But is your spouse a native English speaker?

I did it that too. My wife does not speak English so I have filled all the forms, explained everything to her and she just signed them.

I wouldn't edit a form that has a bar code generated on the last page. Other than that, you should be fine.
I had to make few corrections also which I did with a Pen; Knock on wood, everything went great.
