Anyone who successfully sponsored or was sponsored by their common law partner, did your dependent child's COPR also show the sponsor's details?
I am the sponsor. I successfully sponsored my same-sex common-law partner and her daughter. My partner is in Canada with me, and my step-daughter is in the Philippines. We received eCOPR for my spouse today. My step-daughter should be receiving her COPR and passport back in the coming weeks.
The dilemma here is this: my mother-in-law, who is currently caring for my step-daughter, doesn't know we are a same-sex couple because she is extremely Catholic and homophobic. We are worried if she discovers my spouse's sexuality, she may give us a hard time about bringing my step-daughter to Canada. of course, if that is the case, we will figure it out.
So on the child's COPR, does it show sponsor details? Any guidance would be helpful
