Hello guys,

If anyone had the same issue with ECAS - please do share your input on this:

My friend (He is Canadian citizen and Sponsoring his wife) -- VO is Nairobi, Kenya

His ECAS status used to say "In Process" with following two entries:

- We received your application on this date....
- Medical results have been received...

However, the last ECAS update shows only: "We received your application on this date...." and the status changed to "Application Received"

The "Medical results have been received" note/text is no longer in ECAS.

The application was sent mid-october 2013 and the first AOR was received on Dec 20, 2013

Any input is appreciated... because the guy is freaking out to death.

Thanks!

No need to worry about it. Ecas is notoriously out of date and never/very seldom correct with the status of yor application.
I'm positive I read it somewhere that ecas is contracted to some company hence the slowness in the updating process.

Ï had a similar situation. The "medical results ...." was in my status but now disappeared. The difference is that my status is always "application received" before and after that. My medical results may have expired now (my wife did it in Feb last year), and I guess that's the reason. But I'm not sure if it's a system automatic reaction or it's removed by some officer. We hope it's the latter, at least that means someone is looking at my case.
I would suggest your friend order GCMS notes, which I have done and hopefully it can provide more details.
