I sent the passport of my family and mine to london 0n 21st of march ,today I complete 6 weeks , can any boday help me what to do?
even my status doesnt show up anymore after I sent the passport by 3 weeks ..
i check with my lawer he said, he will send them A remainder today ,
I dont know what to do , it is not good to stay without the passports , also uae visa will expire in 15 days

can some body share his experience

Hi Keny, i had a very bad experience. Had to be without PPs for more then 3 months.
What is your ECASE showing now? "IN PROCESS" or "DECISION MADE" ?

CAUTION FOR FRIENDS WHO ARE PLANNING TO LAND

Can never enough emphasize the importance of dates and details of your papers. See everything matches viz name/DOB/Doc numbers etc. etc.

yes - normally its taking 6-7 weeks only max to get the PP back after the visa stamp. in ur case i feel u can send CHC a reminder. no worrys things wil be in track soon

I will be going back to Ontario for 9 days vacation from UAE as I went back here for work after successful landing. Can I apply now for my OHIP card or I can only apply later if I have a total of 3 months stay in Canada? Please advise.

You can apply as soon as you land in canada, but the health cards will start coverage after 3 months as SATDXB has mentioned. Documents required are your passport, COPR, and any document showing your permanent residential address (rental lease)

For those who have received their passport recently, how did you get the notice from VO London that your PP is on its way to you? I've been waiting for my passport for 5 weeks now.. my concern is, my residence visa is for renewal this 2nd week of May.. :'(

Hi Manila to Toronto,

Let the 6 weeks time pass and you will have your PP(s) back with enough time to synchronise with the bimonthly deliveries of PP in UAE.
Secondly, dont take tensions about your UAE residence Visa expiry, as you know you will have a full month to renew (just few minutes job at the Immigration office, after your medicals and full docs.) I have a feeling you will have no problems.

God is great... we planned to submit our passport today for USA visit visa, but unfortunately by mistake my appointment is in Abu Dhabi and not in Dubai consulate, i was so pissed of this morning... but now im so happy... maybe this mistakes happen 'coz God knows that our PPR is on the way!!!

Great advice Deeaar.

Shatoor do get the letter. I went with it and was able to get the G licence directly without any problems. My advice is to hire an instructor. It will cost you a bit (I paid $250), but the instructors know the tricks and the tips they will give you will really help. You will get the one chance at the "G" licence so better make it a good one. I got mine in Gulph, ON about 100 km out of Toronto. The effort was worth it because the highway there is only 70km/h one and its easy easy to pass there
(according to my instructor).
