I have friend who had 6 years working experience in UAE, he recently moved to Ontario he is expert chemicals which is required there.

He told me that he got part time job salary 3000$ and in Ontario income taxes reachs to 40-50% over all.

I asked him if he is applying for jobs, he said yes but no interview calls.

Sometimes they make phone short interviews ;D

Hai seniors,

I am little bit tensed about my FSW application. I applied on 18/10/2012 and got PER on 12/01/2012. After that no news. I don’t know the status of my file whether to reached LVO or still with CIC .

When I checked my ECAS it is showing as IN PROCESS with a Line that we receive your application of 18/10/2011. This is showing since January 15 2012. While checking others Ecas in this blog they have some more lines before reaching to INPROCESS , we rcvd ur application on this date, we started processing ……..like that .

Pls share your views

Regards

Unni

agree with you.

It will take time (1 to 2 yrs) to settle and also depends upon the person skills, communication, knowledge, etc.

A person really need to work hard (like how you do in Dubai to come up) to settle asap.

Hi Qorax,

I was a silent reader of all your post and seek advise though u have mentioned most of the things. But since I am doing my landing with my small 2 kids i dont want to make it mess. So just wanted to ask a favour. I want to know if i have add my funds which i will be carrying after my landing may be after 2 years as i have no plans to stay in Canada after landing atleast for 2 years so that i can come back to Dubai and earn soem more dollars.

And i am really confused with the B4 & B4A forms. So is it possible to send me a pdf file or anybody here can help me out. i have already filled and prepared the excel sheets also. But just wanted to cross check.

Hi Qorax,

I received my pp's recently and planning to travel in the winters.

Kindly elaborate how much gold are we allowed to take.

We are planning to take 10 tolas & 10 gms biscuits, apart from cash.

Can sell it later if we require cash.

Many Thanks

As much as u desire/want/afford & can carry.
No limits -- no bar. U do not pay any duties/levies/taxes over it as well, as long as u've listed in the B4 that is. This is a benefit given to the 1st time settler.

Well said.
Besides, being in Canada and getting to be a Canadian soon by itself is a worthwhile proposition... and it's not only about our earning potential -- there's an entire gamut of aspects of our life that makes our living in Canada all the more affable/desirable.

1. Query not understood.
2. The form B4A is actually not required, we could manage well with the B4 itself. And if u follow that post tooth-n-nail u can do it - u don't require a pdf example.

Dear Qorax,

Does medicals with Right of permanent Residence fee mean that the security check is complete? Because they wanted it together but some get medicals first and later they get the Right of permanent redisence fee. Please reply ASAP.

thanks alot.

The security checks would commence AFTER ur med report reaches them.

BG checks may take place before or after Meds. Getting request of MEDS with or without RPRF is not an indication of BG checks completion
