I got NO emails, I'm IN Canada though and have been in Canada for 7 years (Study Permit --->Work Permit). I didn't sign up for newsletters or anything.are you guys who got the email, actually in Canada? Cause it would seem strange they would send such email to someone who's already in Canada and is familiar with the country.

It's a mass mail for people on their mailing list.

I am that guy with 379 points. And no no no no no no..... who said people who received the email will get the ITAs? It's just a promotional email. If CIC officers read these posts they must be laughing so hard.

No,It was just a generic email if you subscribe to CIC news via email. I entered my email addy while ago and got the same email after couple of minutes after signing up and has nothing to do with ITA at all!

Trust me, my score is way lower than yours. Government of Canada for sure will happily choose you over me. Our lucks are not based on a promotional email. You will be fine.

It isn't related to ITAs.

As stated numerous times it's just an informative email for anyone who signed up for updates.

The only valid and known reason for the delay is that CIC has updated proof of required funds, and all candidates will be reassessed under the new requirements.

What CIC has to do is make an announcement, assuming that they are delaying the draw.

It is highly unlikely that they will hold the draw on a Saturday.

Draw has most likely already taken place and now CIC may need to ensure whether to issue ITA to people just about there under the normal CEC pre EE program or not. They would like to make sure that they issue the max number of ITAs and not subsume some due to those who are just about there under CEC. So the results could be delayed for several weeks I assume.
