Hello all,
On November 27th I received an ADR for an updated police certificate, which I submitted electronically on Dec 4th. A few days later, the status of my file changed to:
Review of additional documents - We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.
Background check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Since then, it's idle. The ADR letter goes as it follows:
We are continuing to review your application for admission to Canada. We require an updated original Police Certificate for you and your members of your family who are 18 years of age or older. According to our record we will need certificate(s) for the following individual(s):
Please note: The above information/documents must be received within 60 days from the date of this correspondence. If this deadline is not met, your application will be assessed based on the information that was provided with your application and your application could be rejected. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account.
[Now follows what it seems to me to be standard text]
If the issuing authority procedure is to send the police certificate directly to the IRCC office, please refer
them to the following address:
Regular mail:
[IRCC address in Canada]
Courier:
[IRCC address in Canada]
If the documents are not already in English or French, all documents must be accompanied by English or
French translations by certified translators. When original documents are requested, you must send
original documents. We do not accept copies signed by notaries.
The question is, should I post by courier the originals of my police certificate and translation to English?
Thank you!
