Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

I will be in your league shortly. So checking is there any possibility to get PR card sooner?? I have plans to travel to India in August.

Any guidance will be highly appreciative.

Hey folks, I'd also like to confirm that I indeed received my permanent SIN without the PR card, and I applied from within Canada.

thats very normal, you dont need the PR card to get the sin. only your foriegn passport and copr would be enough.

i dont think there's a process to track your PR card, people normally land and wait - if the processing time has been exceeded then
the best thing to do would be to contact cic to enquire.

Processing time came down by 2 days, Hope it keeps on decreasing !!!

at the time when i landed (February 2013) ...the processing time was only 34 days, in winter less people land so the cards are processed sooner.

I guys, just want to ask, I phoned CIC today to follow up our pr card, we landed last May 23, 2013. I'm kinda worried because we have to fly back in the Philippines by sept, so when I asked the CIC officer, he told me that the card might take long time than we expected., because the officer needs to verify something. So, now I'm thinking what kind of verification they need?;(

i think there's nothing to worry about, and you still have sometime - about 1 month till you fly back - i suggest you give them another call in a week or so and ask them more details, ask them if they need any more information from you to help that "verification", try to get an estimate on how long they expect it to take.

I am in similar boat.. I did my landing on May 29. It is 70th day today after that (1 day more than online processing time stated). Will call CIC to see whats going on..

Hello there, I did my landing in June 15, and I just moved to a new place, I want to know if I can change my address now or I am going to mess my PR card. For the timeline now, my card suppose to arrive final of August. I have somebody to receive in my old address but I have to disturb my old landlord. Anyone changed the address??
