Does Service Canada do Employer verification over phone?

Hello,

Is it in the check list from Service Canada, that officer has to do verification with employer over phone? I am bit worried because my employer has applied LMO for me and around 60 days over. We still waiting for response.

I have read one forum about verification calls. I asked my employer and confirmed no call is received until now.

Please provide info. thanks

LMO usually takes 3 months. At least based on the couple of times that I had to process it with my employer.
The verification took place right before the decision was made. (Although not all are called for verification.)

So the agent called and asked the questions, and a few minutes later we received the fax of the LMO.

Whether it be approved or not is depending on whether if your employer satisfies the agent.

Will it take that longer (3 months) if it is 2nd time applied for me (LMO renewal)? or Does not matter how many times we applied.

It doesn't matter if it's a renewal. Takes up to 3 months.
