Hi,
does CIC keep your records if your earlier application was returned due to CAP full?

I had applied under 1123, but my application was returned, DD was not charged.
I'm planning to apply for Express Entry but under a different NOC.

Any help is appreciated in advance :)

Good question. Seniors, can you please share your take on this?

They will keep track of everything. You should be careful.
They have the information of my 2007 WP application including references. I was amazed when they gave me the details of all my previous applications.

Cap full or incomplete should not be a problem.. If your file is approved or rejected then YES they keep all. I chose wrong noc in 2014 cause I misunderstood NOC 1111-1212. Sent an email to cpworking and definitely my NOC is 1111.

They will not have the track of the record for cap fill or application returned. But if the application is processed, then they will have the record of every single document.

What if my application was returned because the duty references on my reference letter doesnt match enough with the NOC's duties? Did they scan and keep records of all my document? They have already issued me a UCI no but no charged has ever made. Pls advice

I disagree on this. Because they kept track of my cap full returned application also.
I have applied for PR under CEC in Oct 2014. There was a lawyer for me to represent this application. This is the only application where I had a representative. Later when I applied for PR under EE, I had to call CIC to know the status. The call center agent gave me the details of my returned application including the Name, Phone, Address of my lawyer and asked me if I am still with that lawyer??
I was surprised. So in conclusion I can say they keep track of even returned applications. I am not sure what kind of mechanism they have in place to track this.

Thank you so much all of you for your inputs.
The thing is, I have been to Canada earlier on a study permit, hence I have UCI.

Now, when I enter my UCI to check the status of my application at "Check my Application Status" page, it says they are not able to find any information. Since the application has returned, shouldn't it notify me accordingly?

Anyway, I'll apply under EE anyway, and see what happens ;)

But I do appreciate all your answers. Now can anyone tell me how to +1 you guys?
I'm not able to figure that :-[

I believe you'll have to wait until you've made 20 posts before you're allowed to give ratings.

I have a question. I have seen on MyCIC

All information collected under International Experience Canada will be retained for two (2) years after your application is submitted. It will then be destroyed

Is this as simple as it sounds? Any IEC application won't be held on record after 2 years?

Yes - you should assume they have a copy of the returned application since it was partially processed.

What do you mean by details? Do you mean address or job at the time?
