Do My Wife and I Need Separate PR portal Accounts for PR Card Renewal?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to apply for Canadian PR card renewal for myself and my wife. I wanted to check if we can use a single IRCC portal login for both applications, or if each of us needs to create our own separate portal account. Has anyone gone through this recently and can confirm the correct process?

Yes. In effect, these are two separate applications, you are each PRs in your own right.

I was searching for the same question and I came across different answer.

"You can renew multiple Canada PR cards for family members using one Permanent Residence Portal account by submitting applications individually"

Which makes sense since when you create online account it does not ask for name, but only email address.
Account is not tied one individual
