Yes you need its clearly stated in the requirement in EE page.you need to provide reference number from wes or similar organisations.

IELTS TRF# and ECA Reference# is a required field in the form of Express Entry.

Right now all you need is the WES reference number, nothing is required in soft or hard copy. So don't worry.

Buddy,

At least start your application, half you questions will be answered as soon as you begin.

Yes, I have submitted my EOI. It is quite straightforward. No, it does not ask for detailed responsibilities yet. Just about past roles and time duration in each role.

42. Do I need to get an Education Credential Assessment (ECA)?

An ECA is required for candidates in the Express Entry pool who wish to be considered for draws related to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, unless they were educated in Canada.

For candidates who are hoping to apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program or Canadian Experience Class, an ECA is optional but may increase the points they receive on the CRS and improve their chances of being drawn from the pool.

So, FSW yes, FSTP optional.

I am from Pakistan and am in the process of collecting all documents to apply for ECA. So my question is which organization is recommended to get ECA based on your experience?
I see a lot of people have gotten their ECA done from WES on this forum. Anyone done it from CES or ICAS?
