Do CERB Payments Affect Ability to Sponsor Spouse?

Due to covid-19 I received CERB payments 3 times. I am a Canadian citizen looking to sponsor my fiance after we are married. Do CERB payments count as social assistance therefore making me unable to sponsor? Or will I need to fully repay back the government my CERB payments before sponsoring my partner?

They are EI, they are not social assistance. If CERB is all you've been receiving, you are okay.

If you have savings other than CERB yes you will qualify.
