Dirving in Quebec after First landing

Hi,

We plan to do a short landing in Quebec (2 week duration) for our first landing/

We have learned that its possible to use the International Driving Permit for a duration of 6 months.

Does the 6 months start from the date of first landing ?

You can drive 3 months only and you must take the theory test and the driving test afterwards.
And yes the 3 months start at the date of landing.
