DEPENDANT STUDENT GETTING A JOB WHILE WAITING FOR THE PPR

Hey guys, I graduated in college last May 2016 and our family finished the medical process, cic recieved April 2016. Im planning to get a job. Does it affects my application?

Yes im part of my parents' application. Im 17 yrs old that time. Im already 19 yrs old right now.

In that case you can certainly stop attending school and start working. However you cannot get married or enter into a common law relationship.

My mom told me that since I applied as a dependent, I need to be in school while the papers are still processing. She doesn't want me to work because she said it might affect our application. How true is that?

Not true at all. There is absolutely no requirement for you to stay in school. As scylla said, you just need to remain single to continue qualifying as a dependent.

Hi again. CIC updated my application (only me) last december and I said there that I'm still studying. Remedical last december 2016 cic recieved last month (January 2017) My question is the same, can I apply for a job? Does it affect my application?

Your answer is the same as above. Whether you're in school or working is irrelevant to you remaining a dependent in your PR app.
