If given a chance that the Principal applicant goes to Canada first before his dependents, will CIC requires that his declared accompanying dependents should follow him to Canada right away? Or is there alloted time to go to Canada once PR visa is given?

Each COPR document has an expiration date written on it. Each applicant MUST land in Canada by that date.

The COPR is the main immigration document that all applicants receive permitting them to become permanent residents. If you need a visa to go to Canada, one will be put into the passport at the same time as the COPR is issued.
The amount of time between the issue of the COPR and it's expiry will depend on when the applicant medical was done.

Based on your experience and application, how many months was given to you to land to canada right after your medical is done?

COPR means CONFIRMATION OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Normally, the COPR will expire about 12 months after the last medical examination. However, CIC has the ability to request an internal extension of the medical, so you really can't tell. It could be as much as a year or it might only be a few weeks. No point in guessing.

Thank you for the info! :D
