Hello all
I am in Canada sponsoring my wife who is in Nigeria. I filed her application in May 2016 and sometime in December 2016, Ghana visa office asked us to bring more evidence to prove that our marriage is not for immigration purpose and we were given 30 days to submit the evidence. The visa office received our documents on january 9th which was still within the 30days given to us. I checked her online status yesterday January 18th and is shows decision made and no PPR yet. I am wondering if seniors in the forum could please tell me if this is a good sign. Thanks for your quick response

Many times there is a delay when ECAS updates Decision Made and getting a letter. It may take a week or so.

Does this suggest something possitive?

Generally YES. :) Congrats!!

Honestly, given the fact that the VO had suspicions about a Marriage of Convenience, no one can here say what way it will go. You need to wait for them to contact you. You should request your GCMS now.

It's a bit premature to say this.

Did your wife do an interview with the visa officer? Even if there was suspicion of marriage of convenience, the visa officer should never reject an application before an interview is done.

So if there was no interview, then most likely the extra evidence you sent satisfied the visa officer and the decision is positive.

If there was an interview and they still asked for more evidence, then we have no idea if the final decision will be positive or negative.

Hi,
my case is all satisfying and relationship is 11 years still visa officer still say marriage not genuine, even asked for redo medicals which is room positive to send ppr but he/she still refuse the application, no interview, all documents requested sent.
I honestly felt they were there to frustrate families not to unite families.

Sorry to hear that. I wasn't aware that they refused application based on the relationship, without at least doing an interview first.

In this case I take back what I stated above. Despite not doing interview OP will need to wait until he gets a notice from the VO to know the result on his application.
