I applied together with my spouse on 23rd April, 2025. She had her study permit approval on June 2nd same day I did my biometrics. I previously did biometrics in 2016 so didn’t think I needed one until IRCC requested I paid for it. I paid the next day and I had to wait two weeks for the BIL. As at today I haven’t heard anything from them. My wife’s visa has been given to her together with her POE. We’re in Ghana

What is her program? Did you show funds for 2 people? Your application is not processed at the same time or along the same timelines. Processing is at least 12+ weeks so well within normal processing times.

Thank You for your response. I do really appreciate. She had a BCDI fully funded scholarship. I attached my proof of work and some payslips. She’s attending University for a years masters degree

So you still need to meet POF for 2 people $26k plus tuition so if scholarship includes your expenses then may be okay. Work and payslips are not relevant. All you can do is wait.

The scholarship covers her tuition for the two years with accommodation. Flight books . Clothings etc

The scholarship is for her. I am not included. I only applied as her spouse for the SOWP and hers has already been approved awaiting flight ticket from the school.
Okay but for you to be approved you need to show POF of $26k that is covered by her scholarship, not including tuition. Read POF for study permits.

Would add that there is a decent chance you may not get a response regarding your SOWP before your spouse needs to come to Canada assuming she starts school in September.
