It would have been in your original SOWP because proof of funds is a mandatory requirement. She has a scholarship but still needs to show that funds cover your expenses.

I applied from Ghana. They didn’t ask me for proof of funds. They asked her and she uploaded her scholarship. It’s a BCDI 2030 scholarship.

So her scholarship shows support for two people or not? If not and no bank statements were included then that may be an issue as to why you haven't received a response. Fortunately she was approved and is studying in Canada.

Her scholarship shows support for only her. It’s a huge scholarship. I wasn’t asked for any proof of funds. If that’s delaying why can’t they ask me to show proof? And after all it’s a workers visa I seek

Your visa is dependant on her showing the funds for 2 people as a student. You wouldn't be eligible for a work permit, if her study permit was approved (and eligible). She is the one supporting you so she is the one who shows the funds in a study permit application. If you had the cash in the bank with financial statements you should have included it in her application.

Your visa is dependant on her showing the funds for 2 people as a student. You wouldn't be eligible for a work permit, if her study permit was approved (and eligible). She is the one supporting you so she is the one who shows the funds in a study permit application. If you had the cash in the bank with financial statements you should have included it in her application.

So if that meets the eligibility requirements and is for one year then should be okay. She needed to show funds of $26k plus tuition so if the scholarship supports both of that then nothing to do but wait. I don't know her school or tuition costs covered by the scholarship. If the scholarship specifically stated that it only covers her and no family members then wait for response from IRCC.
