Hello everyone! I just checked ecas and it says decision made!

My only concern is - I never got a request for Appendix A (or passport request - but I'm Japanese so I heard that they ask Appendix A of Japanese people, not the passport). Has anyone here heard of a positive decision from Manila without a request for Appendix A?

On a related or unrelated note - we got a request for additional doc on July 15, with a August 30 deadline. The document reached Manila on September 12, because the document took that long to obtain. However our MP's assistant assured us that Manila would not automatically close our case on August 30, since we are already in communication with them (through the MP) and they know we are working on getting this document.

Any thoughts?

Also - another note - together with the additional document (Police certificate) they asked for, I sent them additional proofs of relationship, including my visitor's record showing that I am in Canada with my husband. I've also updated my address, and ecas shows my Canadian mailing address. They should be sending me the decision to Canada, right?

Also, any idea how long it takes for the decision letter to arrive...?

Sorry, I'm a bit flustered right now..

Yes, Japanese applicants don't get a passport request. I haven't heard of anyone going through Manila recently and not being asked to submit an Appendix A but I don't think CEM's failure to ask for one from you necessarily means a negative decision. Just wait for the decision to arrive.

Lately, just about everyone has been getting their decisions from Manila by DHL. My wife's status changed to "Decision Made" on August 28th and her COPR arrived by DHL in Canada on September 9, so about a week and a half.

Thanks for the response, bartjones!

guess I will wait... it's agonizing not knowing, though!

If anyone else has any experience with this, let me know!

Thanks bartjones,

I just got COPR today! Almost snatched the package from the delivery guy's hands... my hand shook signing it!

We'll probably land this weekend. Something to be really thankful for!

Congratulations!
