Hi everyone..

I got AOR on the 30th December 2017 and I think that I might be in IP2 (I have not checked the statuses before - Medical Passed tho).

I have a little concern though..

I am leaving my home country (Mauritius) in end of April and going to work in Europe for the next 12 months minimum. Now I fear that I might get PPR around that time or before and might not be able to submit my passport and that of my wife due to us needing it to travel.

How many days are given to submit the passports?
What's the longest wait to get your passports back following PPR?
And if I reach Europe and submit them from there, is it wise to stay in a foreign country on a work permit and then send your passport somewhere else? Is not that risky?

Any ideas will be most welcome..

hey Hii, i am a resident of MAU too, but citizenship India. Application make with residence country as MAU, i think thats why my application too has not made much traction as compared to other fellow India applicants who are getting ppr quicker. Pretoria is most likely to be our LVO, do you know of any other MAU applicants with aor around december/jan? my aor is jan 11.

As for your question, you get 30 days from day of ppr issue to submit your passport but you can also ask for extension with justification. Also, once you land in europe, will you move within europe as well? I ask because once you get ppr and if you are there, you can ask for where your closest visa office is for passport submission, you can then give it in europe itself and it usually takes 20-30 days to get your passport back with copr issued. hope this answer helps you.

The main problem I see with the history is the 1 month gap between end of 1 event and the start of the next. The end date of the previous event should be the start of the next. I believe that's the gap CIC is referring to. For example, I resigned from work in December 2014 in preparation for my relocation to the UK in January 2015 and my history was written as below.
January 2015 - Present
December 2014 - January 2015
October 2013 - December 2014.
If you observe, I closed that 1 month gap with another event (relocation). In your case it could be change of employment.

I know... Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be bothered too much. Not to check any forums, so that we are not comparing ourselves with others . Maybe should allow the mail to come, whenever it is supposed to be... accept the reality...

That's an option, however I can't deny that reading the forum every day (sometimes every hour lol) is what's been helping me pass time.

here is my timeline.

CEC + BC PNP - Living in Vancouver since 2016

Aor - January 3rd
Medical Passed - Jan 25th
ADR - Jan 25th (Travel History)
ADR sent - Jan 26th
BG - IP2 - Feb 27th
ADR - Not Applicable (March 8th - no message, the status changed from submitted to Updated)
PPR Email - March 8th Ottawa VO

now, BG remains the same.
