After my BIL, I have not gotten anything yet too.

We just received my husband's letter requesting for additional requirements. His file has been sent to Mexico VO but we still have no Biometrics request or Medicals. Is this normal? Do we need to send the documents first before we get those requests? Thank you!

Also what does ECAS say when the medical and biometrics have been requested?

It's case to case basis - I had a document missing but received notification to proceed with Medical and Biometrics for my wife. There's nothing set in stone, it seems....
