Hi Namratha, can you share your timeline, please?
Application received-20th Dec 2019
AOR1-10th Jan 2020
Biometric requested -24th jan
SA- 28th Jan.

Then i have no clue what happened with my file. On calling CIC they told my file is transferred to Mississauga and today the PA status changed from APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS.

ECAS says they started processing on FEB 14th so i guess Feb 14th will be where i should get AOR2

Hello Guys,

It's very clear that Mississauga VO processes applications faster than other VO's. Is there a way to find out how its decided that which VO will process the applications?

I have a strong inclination that your travel history determines the VO for spousal sponsorship. For example, if the applicant is from India and has never been out of India, the file goes to NDVO.

Is that understanding correct? People who's file were transferred to Mississauga - Did your partner had a travel history?
is this question specific for Indians only?? Coz in my case I have traveled almost five different countries including Canada but my application is still send to a local VO in Africa. I am African though.

My husband was travelling between the gulf and India and ours was sent to New Delhi.

my ecas status shows IN PROCESS for PA
so should I assume I have AOR2 which they missed to send like how they missed my file transfer email???
Yes, that can be considered as AOR2. How long it took to change the status from Application received to IN progress.

Our Timeline is almost the same. I received SA on 24th. But ECAS for PA still showing Application received, hopefully, next week will bring another hope.
