Morning, guys! Just wanted to give a quick update for those of you who are still waiting for your oath ceremony invitation. Finally got my invite email this morning at 9AM.

My initial application package was received on December 6, 2017
They started processing my application on February 21, 2018
Received my notice/invite to write my citizenship test on August 8, 2018
Wrote my actual test on September 7, 2018 at 8:15 AM
LONG WAIT....
Received an invite today to attend ceremony on May 22, 2019

That's almost EIGHTEEN months in total.

Good luck to you guys who are still waiting! It will come eventually.

Mine on October 2017, and still no test invite yet. It seems to me that when it gets delayed this long, there is nothing the MP can do about it, they are just there to give you the illusion of follow up.

Do you have any idea why it can take so long?

After 1 year is passed (since the day your applicatin was recieved, aka AOR), you can call IRCC and ask for details. If no details were given and no action was taken in a week contact your neighbourhood MP, MPs have assistant who should take care of these issues.
