You mentioned two dates for Citizenship test updated 16 Mar and 18 mar
Same for background check

One date on tracker and from where you got second date?

Except Citizenship Application Status Tracker is there other way to see Application Status?

The two dates come from different sections of the same tracker.
  1. The first date is from the timeline at the bottom, that’s when the update was made in your application history.
  2. The second date is the “Updated” date (top right of the page), meaning that's when IRCC updated your info on the tracker.
They don’t always match because updates can show up in the tracker later. For example, an officer might update your file today, but it could take days or even weeks before it reflects.

I think people share both dates because it helps others get an idea of how long it took for an update to actually show up on the tracker. But don’t worry about it too much, there’s no real pattern, and every profile moves differently.
