Mine too has a date stamped on it. In one of the earlier months case, the applications were returned with the stamp date and processed immediately on being returned to CPC. Note that in that case, the time difference was in few months not like 4 weeks for us. Fingers crossed.

Please check the following link before resubmitting the application:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/cit/admin/general/accept.asp

I am sure the letter included with your returned application should state whether you need to resubmit new application or resubmit the same with missing documents along with updated fees.

Good luck!

In the letter it says that my application was considered incomplete and then in the second page there is 2 options to choose.

1. I wish to resubmit an application for a grant of citizenship. I have included

the application form

the requirement documents based on the Documents Checklist of the form for a grant of citizenship (CIT-0002)

the proof of payment

2. I do not wish to proceed with my application for a grant of citizenship and request a refund of the fee paid.

I chose option number 1. Ιf you guys think my selection is wrong please correct me and let me know what should i do.
Thanks in advance

Mark1987

Option 1 is your only Option unless you want to put the process on hold.

Hope everything works out for you!

Pl. choose option 1 or else your application will be unnecessary delayed.

Missed the deadline by 2 days!
Posted my application on December 27th by priority mail from Vancouver hoping to avoid the fee increase, but it was only received and stamped 2nd January, so was returned. There is a new category on the online fee payment page to pay the additional $230. Just paid it and sending back.

The increase is really only $130 right? I was going to have to have paid an additional $100 on top of the $400 once the application was processed wasn't I?

Dear FTGPMB,

Please check CIC website. Fees went up from 300 to 530 (Processing fees) + 100 (Right of Citizenship fees still the same)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2014-12-31.asp

If you just sent it back, CIC will return it to you as soon as they get it. Total payment $630

I wish I could be wrong.

All the best,

SFD

Hi gst8486

Yes, I have seen that as well. Perhaps, CIC is trying to reward the applicant with a quick response to their application.

So glad to see that CIC has started doing that ;) On the serious note, they better do that, they have increased the fees exponentially, now they better use that money to arrange resources for faster processing of application.......................

Wife called CIC and the agent told that they are processing files received till 3 November 2014. I know CIC guys are notorious for providing false information. Hoping everyone to move faster.

I agree, they are very notorious ! They never provide the exact information and if you insist for some information they will redirect to the CIC website which is getting lil better, but i heard from one of my friend that their online status option for PR applications is not working since November 2014 ............
