A test date by June 5th? Humm. Remember you need to first be in process and then your file needs to get transferred. (That usually takes about a month) Best case scenario your application would get transferred on May 15th. Then you need to wait for at least two months if you don't get a RQ if the meantime. Meaning best case scenario: July 15th for the test date. So not sure how you came up with June 5th If I were you I would not be calling before August 15th.

Well, a lot of people here went from Ip to Transfer within a week, others got their test invite just after 30 days from Transfer (Kovachum is one of them). So my June 5th target is still "mathematically" possible
Anyway, it is my own timeline: I will call them on June 5th if no test scheduled and on August 5th if no oath scheduled. Then I will start ordering ATIPs after August 5th if I still can't figure out exactly what is happening with my application. Also, I really can't think of why I would get RQed. I know CIC is very unpredictable, but still ! The only proof of occupation/activity that they ask at the moment of application is the school transcripts. I believe this is the ultimate proof of residency, and I have been a full time student non-stop during the entire 1100+ days that I applied based on. And my school transcripts (original) account for that. Really, if I get RQed , then I don't know the logic behind it and I will start a new thread for that

The 2-4 months thing is a pretty standard response that they give. Next thing you know you receive your oath letter within 2 weeks or so. My money is still on Kovachum for oath before June 1st !

If the officer told you that you are approved then there are minimum chances of RQ. If he finds some issues with entry/exit stamps or has any doubts then you might get a RQ either small or big one (small RQ is usually for entries/exits from usa)

here is quick update on my case, once again below is my timeline

application received on December 16, 2014.
application process started on February 19, 2015.
file was transferred to the Citizenship Surrey office on March 11, 2015.
file was transferred to the Citizenship Surrey office on March 30, 2015.

I phoned CIC Call Centre today, they had wrong email .com instead of .ca and wrong last digit my phone number. The agent told me that all documents submitted with the application were accepted and my file was received at the local office on April 2nd and now I have to wait for them to contact me.

Background Check: At what stage is it done/completed? at Sydeny or Local Office?
RQ: Who issue RQ Sydeny or Local Office ?
Surrey Office: Any idea of the processing time? Any one else in Surrey?

Congrats Yukon.....How was your Interview?

The interview I would say was basically to check the entry & exit stamps on our passports & verify the originals of some of the photocopies that we submitted with the application. The Officer also asked some generic questions about my job & also I feel was making polite conversation to verify my English language skill !!
