I think you can apply for a open work permit and in the application you can specify that you have applied for a PR application and waiting for your AOR status.You should also need's to specify that they can check your PR application status before making a decision on your open work permit.

Usually you need to do this before your work permit is expiring.Since it will give you a status called implied status in which you can still work for the same employer.

hi,
i applied under CEC on 6th of december 2014. my work permit expired on 24 oct 2014. then i applied for visitor visa to stay in canada. my visitor visa is expiring on 30 april 2015. i'm excepting to recieve my AOR around 2nd week of april 2014. what should i do now. i dont want to leave canada. should i apply to extend my visitor or i can apply for work permit after recieving my AOR.

Guys the spreadsheet shows expected AOR is last week of April 2015 !
Now three questions;
1> How do we arrive at the calculation of dates for AOR expected (though the CIC site mentions 22 days for New Delhi Visa office) !
2> Say (God forbid) anything goes wrong with my application.....do I have to wait till April 2015 or I get to know about the same from CIC end before that date.
3> Do we have to do anything in between till the time we receive our AOR's.....like correspondence with CIC through mail/phone inquiring about my application status !

1.I am not sure about the calculation,but when i check the other forums it seems people applied on August 2014 started getting their AOR's on december 2014
2.If CIC have opened the application and found that if some thing is missing in the required document's,then they will simply mail the whole application package to us.They will also mention the reason for rejection our PR application with a explanation letter.(One of my friend got his application package returned,since he have not attached his birthcertificate)
3.We can't do anything during this time.Since they won't reply to your email's nor answer your questions. You can only contact them once you got your AOR,which means they have your application on file.

1) Since you have provided your email address, you will receive your AOR via email.
2) Yes, your credit card getting charged will mean that your package is complete and you are on your way to receiving your AOR.
