I am on deputation in Quebec. My company main office is in Toronto and my salary is processing through Toronto.
Also, if my current client will change then I have to move out of Quebec.

I hope this will help in showing my intention to live outside of Quebec. Please provide your inputs.

I have submitted my application today to CIC Sydney, NS. Waiting for AOR in the about next 2 months

My husband's situation is the same as yours, however, we decided that I am going to be the principal applicant instead of him. But still, our family is living here in Quebec right now. We have kids and they are all studying here. My husband's employer is located in Toronto and we're staying in Quebec because of their project. I plan to find a job outside Quebec around March but I will be submitting my application on February.

May I just ask all of you guys for your opinion. I will attach a cover letter on my application explaining that we have intentions of leaving Quebec but we want to finish the school year and that will be in July/August. My kids are all studying in English schools and they will not be granted the permit to continue studying there anymore if we apply for PR. We want them to continue in English schools since they are thriving there and are receiving merits and awards for good grades. Also, we're just staying here because my husband's client is here in Quebec and after the middle of next year, the project will be over.

Do you think this will be enough to include in my cover letter? As soon as I get the job in Ontario and find a place for us to stay there, i will update the CIC. Would attaching a list of current openings in my field of expertise be a good idea as well?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Application sent yesterday, Dec 18th.. Now just wait and pray that everything would be ok :)

Just wondering, I told my employer that CIC might call, and he asked me if I know when approximately to expect their call?
Does anybody know if CIC decides to call my employer, when it would happen? After receiving AOR (that means in approx 2 months), or more later, or sooner.. I don't believe they would call before sending me AOR... Anyway, should I just tell him to be ready starting now? :-\

Could be tomorrow or in a week, maybe two weeks, two months or never. We don't know.

Well, I just sent application yesterday, so tomorrow nothing is gonna happen. And I know that CIC theoretically can call whenever they want. But as so many people share their experiences in this forum I was expecting that senior memebers here at least would have an idea of the approximate time when CIC TEND to call (if they call). I guess I was wrong. Sorry for asking.

The issue is that there are so few calls that it is difficult to see a pattern hence why you'll unlikely get an answer on this on. I think I've seen reports of 2 calls in the past year

Please include me in this thread - I sent my application to Nova Scotia, yesterday December 20, 2013.

December 2013 Applications - Processing centers

Hi everyone,
I am planning to submit my application very soon. I am on workpermit and planning to submit my CEC application. I have a query about application IMM 008E (Generic Application Form For Canada), point 4 (Immigration office requested for processing this application). Could anyone please tell me which of the following 4 processing centers should I fill in (Vegreville, Ottawa, Mississauga, Sydney).
Thank you in advance
Jim

This is actually on the guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp#overview

Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

your country of nationality, or
the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year.
Note: Do not select the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) as the immigration office requested to process your application.

Although you may be required to submit your application to the CIO, you must indicate the name of an appropriate visa office using the criteria above.

Note:If you are applying for refugee protection from within Canada or being sponsored from within Canada, this question does not apply to you. Go to Question 5.

I believe you have to choose CPP-O (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/index.asp)

The case processing pilot office in Ottawa (CPP-O) processes:

visitor visa (temporary resident visa) applications from within Canada for applicants with valid status (students or temporary foreign workers only)
permanent resident visa applications from the United States and Canada after they have been pre-screened by CPC-M or CIO-S

Thank you for the response. But I am working in Montreal, Canada. So should I mention Ottawa or Vegreville? I am confused.
