CIC call center people does not have status updates for CEC applications.

I have another doubt. Actually I applied for PR through a lawyer and their email id is mentioned in file for any communication.

Even biodata and RPRF mail was sent to their email id and then thy forwarded me. And while replying I used my email id. Does it matter? Do I need to ask my lawyer to respond to the mail.

Cic call centre won't be able to check this. Only way you can check is by email to ottpilot-immigration.

its better to ask your lawyer.
I don't think they will verify the Email address I think they verify the application number and Name.

Doesn't matter what email you use, as long as you provide CIC with all the details about
yourself and your application in that email to find and match your application.

Is there anyone who ever received a proper confirmation mail after sharing the information.

I don't know whether I am too worried or people have same concern as mine.

Correct, there is no phone number to call. The only way to contact CPP-O is email or FAX.

You may not get one - otherwise it could take 2 weeks

for me it took 1 week to get something from them for my Email.

Correct.
I think it also depends on what you send them, you might hear back if they requested documents, but not
if it's not a requested document.
I sent them my updated passport via email about 1-2 weeks ago and haven't heard back so far. But I also
sent them a new address, which already got updated in ECAS without confirmation email.

You know you can update the address yourself on ecas, right?

Yes, but I already had to email them about the passport anyway, so I simply
put it in that email as well.
