Here are few questions for you...


When did you send the application?
When did CIC recieve it as per courier records?
When did you recieve AOR?
and finally When did you recieved the sponsorship approval email?

thanks! I sent my application 8th Dec, it was received by CIC 19th Dec (I think it was held in customs for a few days) I received AOR 12th Jan to say they received it 19th Dec. And my sponsorship approval email is dated 9th Feb.

Hello - I just posted this on the London thread, but in case someone here is also interested, I just stumbled upon the CIC's Quarterly PR Applications Data Release which has some great stats on processing times for the 12 months to Sep 2011. I'm not allowed to post links, but if anyone's interested, it is at the Canadian government's Open Data Pilot Project site:

1) Google - "Canada Open Data Pilot Project"
2) Search General Datasets: "Immigration"
3) It's called: "Permanent Resident Applications Processed Abroad and Processing Times - English Version" (sixth link down, when I did the search)

Good News!!

We have had our first stage approval, our app was received on 13th December and my husband got the email on 7th Feb! He was away working, so we just found out today!!!!!! Hurray, the first milestone has been reached!

So now we have been forwarded to London - really happy and excited!

Yeah i sent my app on 28th Dec. Canadapost says it delivered on Jan 3rd. I am just hopeful of recieveing atleast the AOR soon. That keeps me relieved for some time before i hear anything on the Sponsorship approval.

From what I have read on the forum, not everyone receives an acknowledgement, so don't worry. Good luck!

I'm kind of disapointed a bit today, they said they are working on applications received on Dec 14. Mine was received on Dec 13, but I still didnt received my Sponsorship Approval

Try to login into e-cas with your client id and see if shows anything. If it shows nothing then call up CIC tomorrow, it is likely that they sent your approval via mail instead of email, so it is taking time.
