Dates in imm0008 after submitting imm5708 (extension)

Hi!

I sent in the form imm5708 online about a month ago to extend my status as visitor (I previously was working here for 4 years).
I have not yet received any response.

My previous closed work permit expired a few days ago and I'm currently trying to fill in the form for common-law sponsorship.

In imm0008 I have to enter the current status, Should I fill that as Visitor?
if so what end date?
Should it be the date I requested in the imm5708 form (1 year from now)?
