DAR ES SALAM OUTLAND APPLICANTS 2015

Hello all,

As a lot of you may be aware, Dar es Salam just opened a new VO which will now be processing applications from some countries that Nairobi was responsible for. From the way things are moving, it looks like some Kenyan applicants like myself, were also transferred to the Dar es Salam VO despite choosing Nairobi as their VO on the application. I am assuming that the overflow is being sent to Dar es Salam.

Unfortunately, since this is a new VO, there are no timelines available on CIC nor do we have anyone on the forum who has received their PR through DAR, so we are the test group. Hopefully, this means things may move faster, but again, this is just an assumption.

I thought I would create this post for anyone who's application has been transferred to DAR so we can keep each other posted regarding our process and timelines.

why not update your profile in the forum much easier and spreadsheet for future sponsors /applicants joining this forum for guidance. It will help them a lot.

That's a great idea - I will change it in my profile so it's easier. In regards to the spreadsheet - I would love to put one together but unfortunately, don't have the time right now. If anyone else would like to volunteer, please feel free.

we haven't heard anything yet. Only know my application is in process since august 6th.

Nothing yet!! Still sitting at application Recieved! File was transferred on July 6 and not even an in process yet! Praying hard everyday that we see some progress and that they can be both back in Canada before Christmas!

ours is also still at "Application Received". Sponsor was approved and then it was sent to Dar es Salaam. Dar es Salaam received it on July 16th. It would awesome if these applications were completed by Christmas!

Hello all!

I woke up this morning to the most awaited email from CIC!!! They have requested for my passport and a prepaid courier coupon. Just want to let you know that good news is on the way for all of you!!! Dar es Salam seems to be moving fast. I know most of us share similar dates so hang in there folks!!!
