anyway,I got an e-mail from the embassy today ,in fact it was a reply to my e-mail which was sent 20 days ago.they also mentioned that they are using all their resourses to speed up the process regarding the files of spouse sponsorship.hope it is true and not just a response they give to calm us! :

Dear Sohait,
Did they mention anything about when they were gonna review your application?As I mentioned in my previous post, they answered my email after a month.Guess yesterday was email reply day in Damascus.
I don't think they really care if we are calm or not, so if they sent you a reply it probably means they are actually speeding up the processGood news for all of us

Hey everyone

Inshallah everyone is good. I hear things are rocky in syria but inshallah that is where it will end.



Im in south of lebanon and alhamdulilah everything is good. Yesterday night i emailed damascus to let them know that my husbands medicals expire on august 24 inshallah that will help speed up the process. :-( im leaving on august 2nd and i dont want to leave wothout my husband but that just may be what will happen :-(!!



Did anyone get pprs lately ?

Guys,
i feel with you all,
I will share my story in damascus :
my wedding was on 27th of june Monday,and the second day i checked email and i saw ppr i was soohappyand thankking god for this special wedding gift, so becuase they only accept passport on Sunday to Tuesday , I was forced to wait for the week of july 3rd to go to damascus with my wife and risk our lives, and we did with my wife scared,
we arrive there 6:45 am to be in the line up they opened at 8 and only allowed my wife to go in to present her passport, : how long u think to hand in the pp should take? I waited outside for 4 hours she finished at 12 ~! not that im complaining , im happy i got ppr , they told her to come pick it up the second day at 2:30 pm and they said it will take 2 min just to give her the passport, we went there and my wife went inside at 2:30 and finished at 4:30 ! closure time !, they dont treat people as human ,

i hope you all who have been waiting long to have ur pprs soon inshala

Thank you for your detailed explanation of the process you went through in Damascus. Why did it take them 4 hours to collect the passport?God knows.

2 weeks ago I sent an e-mail to the canadian embassy in Damascus asking them if my wife could apply for a student visa at the embassy in Beyrouth. I attached a copy of the CAQ (certificat d acceptance du Quebec) having in mind that this thing could accelerate the process of her file. They just answered me :

Suite à votre courriel ci-dessous, vous pouvez faire une demande de permis d'études même si vous avez un dossier d'immigration en cours d'étude.

Meaning that we can apply for a student visa while we have an immigration file in study.

I wich this nightmare finish sooooooon
