Hello to all,

My wife is my sponsor since she is Canadian, we are married since 10 years and we have 2 children both Canadians, i am living in Lebanon now.
My status on the cic website sais that my application for permanent residence is received on 13 MAY 2011 but nothing has changed since, not even "in process" and from what i read from your posts i knew that in 2 months after receiving my application it should be in process. Does this mean a major problem?

My immigration lawyer sent me this mail on 09 MAY 2011 saying: " Svp demander a Celina qu'on me fasse parvenir une facture ou une preuve de résidence car j'ai recu l'acceptation de Canada et il nous manque le certificat de selection du Quebec". My wife sent him her "avis de cotisation" and still nothing has changed. I mean is it logic to receive the acceptance before receiving the CSQ?

Help please
Elie

hi elie , what your lawyer means is that they have received the acceptance of Canada from missisaugua to start processing the file. as for quebec I guess they want a proof that your wife is residing in Quebec. for
the rest don't base yourself too much on the website because they don't update your status.

dear elie,
my status is the same from 7 months now " nous avons recu votre demande de residence permanente le xx yy zzzz" so don't expect too much from the site

I received an email from the office of my MP they told me to call them so we can discuss the issue. I hope they will help me to know the status of my application

missbou, i feel the same each and every morning.
and nagz, positive and optimism are all i have now..it's probably a defense against depression because i don't wanna live another depression now :-X it'll make my husband so sad.
so 3, 4 or 5 months...it doesn't matter anymore. we have been waiting for so long, we have been too damn patient also, it's like i feel numb now and careless... i still have some faith left though.
you've been enouraging me and i'd love to do the same ::)

Hi guys,
Congratulation and all the best
for the rest of us waiting let us all share our progress in a friendly way and help each other
at the end we all have the same situation far from our loved ones and we should concentrate in a positive way and look forward to finish our cases successfully.

all the best to all

Hi Kamal,

I am sorry about the bad luck you had about your case. Could you please drop a line and let us know about the latest status of your application?

cheers!
Behzad
