Hello everyone! Im new in this forum, even though i've been reading ur posts for some time now.
i'm lebanese, my husband is in quebec and he's sponsoring me since november 2010.
i just have a question for you, i've noticed in the columns that each one of you puts the date of the beginning of the treatment in Damascus.how exactly do u know when ur treatment has begun?
i only received an email from them 2 months ago saying that my "dossier est en cours d'etude" they didn't mention when it started. i just wanna add that i was in canada when i presented my file, we put all the photos, emails and infos and sent them to Mississaugua, which sent the file to Damas after approving on it.
Damascus hasn't sent any additionnal docs request so far. do u think it's normal? or they just don't need more prove?
so plz reply. I'm worried and starting to lose my patience because of this process.

dear nath we know when they started processing the file in damasks because if you go on e-case it will say we have started processing x person's file on x date.
by the way were you asked to file out the residency questionnaire ?

i understand now, for me it has always been " we have received ur request for permanent residence on xx xx xxxx" in the cic site, they never said when they started processing it.
as for the questionnaire of residency, i think they sent it to me when i was in Quebec and i filled it then. it's a questionnaire about where i have lived and for what period... right?

ohh ya where it says we have received your request for PERMANENT RESIDENCY. that means we are processing your file because if you have it in french one should say demande de parrainage and the other one says demande de residence permanence so anything in the box related to residence permanente is form damascus the other box demande de parrainage is from Mississauga ... anyway it's a good thing they are not asking you for more documents wallah it means everything is going fine .......i think lol anyways good luck to you too hun.

i'm sure u r not the only ones left in November and maybe there r others before u who did not get the visa yet...at the end, how many people use and update this thread? probably some got their PPR too this week from Damascus but they r not here to share...don't be sad be happy for ur vacation and for the time u'll spend together and stop thinking about it for a few days...the good news will come when u least expect it

yes Nagz i got a visa visitor after i got married, so i stayed 4 months with my husband and had to come back to lebanon.
i hope it's like what u're saying that my docs are complete...
yalla we only have to wait.
