Good day everyone,

I finally woke up this morning to see the long awaited e-mail: Passport Request (PPR) from DVO. Feeling excited 8).

My wife will send it A.S.A.P, so that they can make it before this year runs out.

Dakar VO processing time has really improved tremendously from the previous years.

It took 7 weeks from IP to PPR just as Airforce 5 has suggested !

Thank you Wal_Abeche,
I was just hoping to contact DVO next week..but coincidentally I got PPR today.

What a great feeling ! :)

Thanks for the prompt response Turbo2000!

I actually found out that there are two version of Marriage Certificate in my home country and the one I submitted with my file is the one without 'Monogamy' on it. We are just going to apply for the one Dakar VO requested.

As you mentioned, it will be for the best if she just takes new pictures to avoid any potential delay.

To answer your question, I have not email Dakar VO nor did I even apply for GCMS note. I was just checking my wife's ecas daily for any updates and all of the sudden we received the Passport request email:)

It wouldn't hurt to contact them. Maybe you will find an agent who is in a X-mas who will give you good news:)

Thanks

I looked at the status of my application online and it says "We began processing your application on November 30th". Does that mean they're looking at it already? I got my SA in the middle of November.

Yes, that's what it means. Mine was showing processing started on july 22nd and I got passport request on dec. 4th.

Good day everyone,

I got a PPR by e-mail last week with 2 attachments: 1. updated chart 2. image001.emz

Unfortunately, I'm not able to open the 'image001.emz' attachment.

It seems no program is able to open it. I have perused the internet to no avail.

May be it's just an irrelevant attachment as it is mentioned no where in the e-mail.

Has any body witnessed this ?

thanks for your input.

Hi Turbo2000,

Glad you got that much anticipated email as well. Here hoping for our partners to touch down early so we can bask in the new year:)

To answer your email, mine also included the image001.emz attachement. I was not able to open it as well and since there was no mention of the 2nd attachment anywhere in the email, we disregard it and submit it the passport with the requested documents. Hopefully, is just a glitch and nothing important.

I'm just anxiously waiting to receive the pp with a COPR:)

Good luck

Thanks Wal_Abeche,

It was indeed a perfect timing. Can't just wait for my wife to be here lol

I was finally able to view the image, using INSERT=>PICTURE in Microsoft Word.

It was just the photo specification already included in the e-mail,nothing extra.

My wife sent her passport...still to arrive in Dakar.

Hopefully it doesn't take long to issue the COPR.

Hi guys
1) Did Dakar send AOR when they received your file?
2) My wife's ecas changed to "in process" should I start counting to 7 weeks for PPR? :P

Hello

1. Dakar doesn't send AOR2..the first correspondence I got from Dakar was PPR on Dec. 4th
