Hi Sky !;) But what happens if i apply for the OWP and it is not accepted until my Work Permit Expiration date (SEPT 26)?I will not be able to continue working?
You won't be able to continue working without a valid work permit. You can try to renew/extend your current visa before applying for PR if you're concerned the timeframes may cause you to miss out on working-- I just know they're cracking down on work permit renewals right now, too, so there's some risk involved either way.

Gosh I'm in trouble then , because my PGWP is not renewable so I understand that after I receive the AOR and apply for the OWP i'll be permitted to stay even after my current PGWP expires but not able to work , trouble in sight for sure :( Thank you dear

Just wanted to contribute to the thread.. I'm an outland application (applied February 2024) and also received COPR yesterday, and have just responded to the P1 email. Which is great news. I get the impression there has been some activity with IRCC processing these Quebec applications recently. Anyway it's a relief, as it must be to all the others here who have recently had their applications approved. The wait was kinda torturous (21 months for me, which I guess isn't bad for a Quebec application) but worth it in the end!

I'm not sure this is entirely accurate. I'm in a similar situation where my partner has a PGWP that is set to expire in 2026. We've recently applied for an OWP under our sponsorship application (submitted in 2024), and our lawyer told us that maintained status will remain in effect until we get a decision... obviously as long as they stay in the country. Maintained status allows you to keep working under your previous work permit's conditions. This is also stated on the OWP AOR. Applying for a new visa doesn't have any bearing on one's ability to work or not, it's merely a travel document that allows one to enter the country.

As long as Brajenta submits their OWP application before their PGWP expires, they should benefit from maintained status, even though they are changing work permit classes (see here). That said, I'm not a lawyer and this is only based on my experience, so I recommend double-checking with an immigration professional to clarify.
